Samuel Tepler was an Israeli painter.
Born in 1918, Poland.
Died in 1998, Tel Aviv, Israel.
Tepler's works reflected the artist's poetic soul in architectural composition of modest dimensions and moderate colors. Tepler had the wonderful ability to create a "pure" abstract and yet stay in touch with the painted subject.
Tepler had many solo exhibitions in Israel and abroad.
In 1968 he had a solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, Haifa.
In 1975 he won UNESCO Gold Medal and the Italy Prize, Tetradramma d'Oro.
