Hannah Levy was an Israeli painter.
Born in 1914, Berlin, Germany.
Died in 2006, Sdei Hemed, Israel.

Hannah Levy is one of the best artists of abstraction in Israel. Her work ranges from figurative to abstract. Her paintings are characterized by a great momentum, an organized whirlwind of colors (in the oil paintings) and lines (in the ink and aquarelle drawings), which interpret the landscape personally. Its colorful, rhythmic music of the line, layering encounters, and great spontaneity - these are the values of the paintings.Over the years, despite the great appreciation she received mainly among artists and reviews praise, Levy's work was forgotten.

In 1982 the Haifa Museum of Art, Haifa, held a solo exhibition of her works.
