Aliahu Gat was an Israeli painter.
Born in 1919, Russia. Died in 1987, Tel Aviv, Israel.

Gat was the leader of a group preaching the identity of art and culture and urging the return to locale elements. In his own work Gat is an excellent craftsman with clear lines. His water colors reflect much light, his expressionistic oils are an endless stream of brush strokes.

Gat had solo exhibitions in the major museums, and in numerous galleries, a large exhibition of his works was shown at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem in 1984.

Gat was awarded the Dizengoff Prize (1978).
