One woman, drawn on a fixed day of the week and for a long time. Consistency that becomes a kind of ceremony. A model-painter relationship for all the complexity with which it is expressed in this encounter.

Borrowing from the statement of the psychoanalyst Bion about the encounter with the patient it can be said, that if we think we are meeting the figure we met yesterday, we are meeting the wrong figure.
Rina Azroni looks at the figure who serves as a model with curious eyes. It is a fresh look freed from regular pictorial conventions, and expresses the changes that take place in the model and inevitably also reveals the position and moods of the painter.

Rina Azroni's focus on the inner being of the model allows for a wide spread of moods and states of mind even if it sometimes involves giving up loyalty to external accuracy.

A look at Azroni's works reveals that her painting subjects are not the excuse for painting: for her they are not accidental but constitute a driving force for her work.
