David Isaacs draws artists in their studio. Is the encounter between a painter and a model who is an artist different from an encounter between a painter and a model who is not an artist?
Every encounter between a painter and a model inevitably involves a great deal of exposure that involves anxiety and anticipation as to the results of the painting. In the encounter between a painter and the model the hierarchy is clear: one judges while the other, the object, awaits sentencing. On the other hand, in an encounter between an artist and another painter, he also refers to the artist's artistic judgment regarding the finished painting.

At the end of the day, beyond the actual art the series presents first and foremost a human encounter that can also be seen as an Isaacs tribute to fellow artists.
